WASHINGTON – Capital Idea Ventures, Inc. (CiV) has received the Standard of Excellence award in the Education category of the Web Marketing Association's 2009 WebAward Competition for Web site development. Capital Idea Ventures, Inc. is a full-service web development and design firm located in the metro Washington, D.C. area.
CiV was asked by The Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs and the National Endowment for the Humanities to create a series of web-based interactives for U.S. History and Government teachers. The lessons and the interactives created as a part of this partnership are being placed on the NEH's EDSITEment web site, which features the best of the humanities on the web.
A Word Fitly Spoken: Abraham Lincoln and the American Union is a Flash-based interactive which tells the story of Lincoln's commitment to the preservation of the Union during the tumultuous years of the Civil War using a variety of multimedia and teaching tools for U.S. History teachers.
